Fair Winds Brewing Raises $1.4 Million for Brewery

Eater relays a story from Washington Business Journal that Fair Winds Brewing Co. plans to open a 30-barrel brewery in Fairfax County next year. The company, which is led by Fairfax resident Casey Jones, just raised $1.4 million in equity from investors and is bidding on property in Merrifield.

Celebrate Catch 15’s Grand Opening with Free Oysters and Cocktails

City Paper notes that Catch 15 opens tonight at 1518 K St. NW, and is marking the occasion with a party serving complimentary oysters, small plates, and cocktails from 6 to 8 p.m. The new oyster bar is from restaurateur Tony Kowkabi, who also owns Toscana West and Ristorante Piccolo, and chef Vincent Torres.
