ADAMS MORGAN— It’s official. Longtime restaurant La Fourchette will close in Adams Morgan next month. The restaurant operated for 38 years, and had been up for sale for some time. It will close June 11. [WaPo]

PETWORTH— Speaking of closures, Domku has announced a slate of activities happening at the restaurant before it closes. They’ll celebrate Petworth Day June 4, do a final Pierogi Night June 15, and host a “Best of Domku” pop-up June 21-24. No official opening date has been set yet, but signs are up outside the new Pancho Villa Mexican Cuisine restaurant in Rosslyn. The eatery is located at 1850 N. Fort Myer Drive, the former home to the short-lived Secret Chopsticks restaurant, at the bottom of the Turnberry Tower luxury condo building. 1) BETHESDA: Food Wine & Co. has closed after six years in operation to make way for development, according to Facebook. Bethesda Magazine reports Carr Properties plans to demolish the building to make way for a new housing and hotel project. Owner Francis Namin also owns other Maryland restaurants like Fish Taco and Don Pollo.

Suspect Runs Over Man’s Legs While Ditching Check at Pike Restaurant

A man was seriously injured after trying to stop a diner who ditched his check at El Rancho Migueleno restaurant (3709 Columbia Pike) Friday night. The incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. Police say the victim was a friend of the restaurant’s owner and was sitting outside on the restaurant’s patio when he saw a dispute unfold between the owner and a man who refused to pay his bill. The Michelin Guide is Coming to DC in October

The Michelin Guide, one of the oldest and most internationally-recognized guide books in the world, is coming to DC. The inaugural edition will be released this fall. Michelin’s international director, Michael Ellis, touched on the reasons for the guide’s arrival in a press conference, also attended by Mayor Muriel Bowser and Michelin-starred chef April Bloomfield from New York. Ellis expanded on DC’s stature as an international city, a booming restaurant town, and home to one of “the best French restaurants to have existed,” Jean-Louis at the Watergate.
