He founded a string of Casa Blanca bakeries (outposts remain in Alexandria, Va., Arlington, Va., and Hyattsville, Md.). Pizza joint heading to Navy Yard while Mount Pleasant gets Moorish cooking

Expansions | Presidential Restaurant Group wants to play ball, selecting Navy Yard as the next home for Declaration pizza. A second location is slated to open on the 1200 block of First Street SE either late this year or in early 2018. The menu will feature the same gourmet pies and modern American fare corporate chef Demetrio Zavala developed for the original outpost. PRG is also growing, welcoming local businessman Alan Bubes, who recently became co-owner of Chad’s in Friendship Heights, to the management team.
