Source: Washingtonian Food

(Think the Hilton brother’s Crimson Diner and rooftop bar at Pod DC, or Casolare, Michael Schlow’s neighborhood Italian inside the Kimpton Glover Park Hotel.) Joining these ranks: Lil’ B, a Southern cafe from Bayou Bakery chef […]

Radiator is the latest bar to indulge Washingtonians’ Peter Pan syndrome with “life-sized” Connect Four, Jenga, and ice cream sundaes. The Kimpton restaurant, attached to the new Mason & Rook Hotel, opens in Logan Circle on April 28. The global menu from former Ardeo + Bardeo chef Jonathan Dearden is wide-spanning enough to give away the restaurant’s hotel affiliation but trendy enough to check all the boxes in hipster restaurant bingo: Bacon fat fries! Kimchi pickles! Lamb belly tacos! The dinner offerings are divided with cutesy titles like “food in hand” and “fork in hand,” the latter of which includes dishes like short …

Radiator, located inside the new Mason & Rook Hotel from the Kimpton group, opens on Thursday—just in time for summery weather. While the name is a nod to 14th Street’s history as Washington’s automotive district, the indoor space feels more like an old-school cigar lounge than an auto shop. “We didn’t want to make it too themey,” says designer …
