The best-tasting, biggest American fruit you probably haven’t tasted

This fruits grows wild in 26 states and requires no pesticides. Thomas Jefferson has it in his backyard at Monticello. It was eaten by European explorers, enslaved African Americans and Native Americans. It’s a cross between a banana and mango and is the largest and most edible fruit native to the United States. It’s called pawpaw.
