These cheap, overstuffed papusas are some of the best in the DC area. There are five locations in Virginia and Maryland.

The two Ravi Kabobs (located across the street from one another) have long been regarded by many as the finest kabob houses in the entire DC area. They're certainly our favorite. We always go for the lamb, but everything is good here including the sides. Portions are also generous, though we note the service can be a little brusk.

"… What you get at Ravi, the granddaddy of the area’s many kebab parlors, is the skill, knowledge, experience, and patience to turn that simple endeavor into high artisanal craft. These are kebabs to savor and take your time with, from the warmly spiced minced beef to the incomparably juicy bone-in chicken. And don’t miss the chickpea stew known as chana, simmered for hours with onions and garlic until the mixture becomes sticky. …" See Full Review…»
