Owner Enzo Algarme has come a long way from his humble beginnings in a Ballston food cart. His brick and mortar restaurant features a custom oven that produces what many think are the finest Neopolitan-style pizzas in the area. Our favorite has prosciutto and arugula, but you really can't go wrong with any of the combinations. Non-pizza items are great too and there's a good but small selection of beer and wine. In nice weather, head to the patio out back.

Tom Sietsema notes: "Of the new crop of Neapolitan joints, Pupatella, which originated as a food truck in 2007 and matured into bricks-and-mortar three years later, offers the biggest menu. If you want to take a detour from pizza, try a pasta or special" See Full Review…»

"… whether you order a straightforward Margherita or a more embellished Calabrese, with olives, basil, and anchovies, you can expect tender crusts with just a bit of char. The casual, art-filled space is a friggitoria (fry shop), too—we love the creamy Ping-Pong balls of mozzarella, the prosciutto-studded potato croquettes, and the gooey cheese-and-eggplant arancini. …" See Full Review…»
